Serving our community since 1948.

About Us

The Williamson County Library Foundation exists to enhance the library system’s programs and services through advocacy, fundraising, and building relationships with the community. First known as the War Memorial Library Foundation, the organization began in 1948, when Williamson County purchased a library collection from private individuals. Today the Foundation supports the main Williamson County Library, in addition to its five branches in Nolensville, Fairview, Bethesda, College Grove, and Leiper’s Fork.

The Foundation is the primary sponsor for the library’s Summer Reading program, which impacts over 2,500 children annually. The Summer Reading program enables the libraries to offer high-quality digital assets, innovative programming, and more to local communities.

The “Love Our Libraries” event, generally held in the fall, is the Foundation’s largest fundraiser supporting the Summer Reading program and other library initiatives. Since 2007, the Foundation has donated over $336,000 in goods, services, and upgrades to the library system.
