Author Events: Evening with Storytellers
October 9, 2014: The first Evening with Storytellers, featured authors Eric Jacobson, Thomas Flagel, and Bryan Lane as they shared their insights, based on years of research, as to why the Battle of Franklin is the Greatest Story of the Civil War. The program began with wine and appetizers, and was enthusiastically received by a large crowd in attendance. The Foundation plans to host future author events to benefit the library and to increase community awareness of all the library has to offer.
Book Signing
Local author Wren Anderson signed copies of her latest book, Smile Spotters, at the main branch of the Williamson County Public Library.
The book tells the story of Tooth Fairy helpers who encourage children to brush and floss their teeth regularly. The set includes a boy or girl Smile Spotter, which children can name and clip to their bathroom mirrors to report back to the fairy boss about the child's dental hygiene habits.
The event featured the Smile Spotters themselves, and those in attendance were served treats and given toothbrushes to take home.
