Fourth Capital Bank

As a full-service bank, Fourth Capital, offers clients a range of custom products and services for both individuals and businesses. Fourth Capital’s bankers are some of the most experienced in the Middle Tennessee market, and they share one common characteristic: the desire to serve their clients better than anyone else.

Mary Slater, SVP of Marketing & Human Resources, shared a few of her library memories and why supporting the WCLF is a key program for Fourth Capital.

Why is it important for the Fourth Capital to support the community?

At Fourth Capital, we are all driven by a shared purpose and that is to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. Our bank is rooted in Middle Tennessee and entirely devoted to serving the people and businesses in our own neighborhoods. Community involvement is in our DNA, and our people donate their time, talent and treasure to the greater good of this big city and small town that we love. From group projects to individual volunteerism, our associates are known for their caring hearts and helping hands. As a company, we partner with a wide variety of organizations to strengthen and provide long-term value for our community.

Why is it important to you to support the Williamson County Library?

The link between grade-level reading by third-grade and longer-term educational outcomes are alarming. We believe literacy is one of the most important issues we can support at Fourth Capital and the Williamson County Library does incredible work to invest in young minds and help people of all ages reach their full potential.

Do you have any favorite library remembrances you can share?

Summers at the library were my favorite as a kid. I could spend hours and hours looking through books and would always leave with a haul! It’s nostalgic going back with my own kids now and seeing some of my favorites still on the shelves.

What is your favorite book?

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
