What Can You Do with a Library Card?

Your library card can do SO much more than simply check out books and movies, although we have plenty of those too! Check out the list below to learn about the unique opportunities that come with a card to the Williamson County Library.

E-Books and Audiobooks

Did you know you can check out a book without physically coming to the library? The Tennessee R.E.A.D.S. program offers thousands of e-books that can be downloaded on a Kindle, Nook, iPad or other tablet, as well as audiobooks for both children and adults.

Seed Exchange

Library members can "check out" packets of seeds! Simply pick out your seeds, plant them, harvest the seeds in the fall and bring a few back to the library for the next growing seeds.

Computer Classes

Improve your computer skills by learning the basics of Excel, PowerPoint, eBook borrowing and more.

Teen Room Games

The teen room is stocked with all sorts of fun games! From WiiU and Xbox to chess, Dungeons and Dragons to board games, teens are able to connect with each through friendly competition.

Country Music Hall of Fame Admission (18 and under)

That’s right! Youth ages 18 and under receive free admission to Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame with their library card.

The library has a full-service career center that offers one-on-one coaching, resume assistance, career transition planning resources and reference lists of companies throughout the United States.

Children’s Media Devices

The Children's Room is equipped with technology to help learning and enhance fun for all ages and purposes, and many devices can be checked out. Guests have access to Launchpad learning tablets, Playaway MP3 players pre-loaded with audiobooks, and Wonderbooks, which combine print and audio in one binding.
