Summer Reading 2020
The Williamson County Library Foundation is the #1 sponsor of the library’s Summer Reading program. In 2019, more than 2,500 children participated from all six branches.
Children and teens fill out summer reading logs and have the chance to earn prizes based off of their reading completions. Prizes include local restaurant coupons, swag bags, books and activities. Children can also earn points and prizes by completing an activity log, which involves interactive learning projects such as visiting local parks, completing nature scavenger hunts, engaging with the library’s digital resources and more. In addition to children and teens, 63 adults participated in the library’s adult summer reading program.
On top of reading logs and prizes, the summer reading program offers live events for children featuring performances from magicians, musicians, ventriloquists, scientists, face painters, theater troupes and wildlife specialists.
The 2020 state-wide summer reading theme is, “Imagine Your Story," and we will learn more about fairy tales and mythology! Stay up to date by visiting the library’s website or Facebook page.
