How has reading impacted you?
Food is to the body as reading is to the mind… Reading gives you an incentive to see and experience something from a different aspect. It allowed me to envision what places may be like around world without ever visiting them – reading allows you to use your imagination.
Why is it important for your company to support the local community?
As a not-for-profit member owned electric cooperative, it’s vital for us to support the community we serve. As a matter of fact, it’s one of the seven cooperative principals that cooperatives were founded on.
What motivates your company to support the Williamson County Library?
Both The Williamson County Library and Middle Tennessee Electric were founded in the 1930’s, since then we have both provided vital services to the residents of Williamson County. Supporting the Williamson County Library is an honor for MTE because the library provides materials that will stimulate students' acquisition of factual knowledge and it provides countless opportunities for residents to learn.
